#LightTheWorld Day 11: "I was a stranger, and ye took me in."
Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, more than 5 million refugees have fled to neighboring countries. Most left with only the clothes on their backs and each winter they face enormous challenges surviving the bitter cold.
This video is a short introduction to a nationwide effort to gather blankets and coats to give to the refugees. We here at Saranoni decided to join these efforts and donated thousands of our blankets to this drive. Earlier this month we traveled to Washington, DC to help prepare and pack the blankets for shipment. In January these blankets will be delivered to the refugees in Jordan and Lebanon.
This Christmas season, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by serving others. As we follow His example, we can help #LightTheWorld. Jesus taught us to extend kindness to people we don't know. "I was a stranger, and ye took me in." --Matthew 25:35. We invite you to join our efforts by donating to this blanket and coat drive.
